Short Bio: Catherine has taught in the QUT Law School since 1991 and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She has been involved in first year curriculum design, teaching and assessment as well as supervising students undertaking work-integrated learning placements. Catherine supervises both ‘traditional’ legal work placements and also service-learning projects with community organisations involving multidisciplinary student teams. She has supervised students on short term international placements since 2012 working with partner organisations in Bhutan, Thailand, Myanmar and Vanuatu. Catherine was involved in creating the QUT Legal Clinic in 2013 and is currently the Legal Clinic Co-ordinator. She has a strong interest in community justice and in teaching law students to be ethical, caring and responsible legal practitioners.
