Short Bio: Professor Kerew is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of the Externship Program, the Summer IP Program in D.C., and the Academic Success Program at Georgia State University College of Law in Atlanta, Georgia. Professor Kerew received the College of Law’s David J. Maleski Award for Teaching Excellence in 2017 and the Black Law Student Association’s Bernadette Hartsfield Faculty Award in 2016. From May 2015 – May 2017, Professor Kerew served as Co-Chair of the AALS Clinical Legal Education Section’s Externship Committee. As part of her role as Co-Chair of the AALS Externship Committee, Professor Kerew facilitated the re-launch of LexternWeb (www.lexternweb.org), which seeks to promote information sharing and collaboration among externship faculty nationwide and internationally. Professor Kerew is a member of the Board of Directors of the Clinical Legal Education Association (www.cleaweb.org). As part of her CLEA Board service, which began in January 2017, she serves as Chair of the Advocacy Training Committee, Co-Chair of the ABA and Bar Standards Committee, and as a member of the Externship Committee.
