Short Bio: Jonathan Campbell BA LLB (UCT) LLM (Rhodes) has been a practising attorney for 22 years, 17 of which have been spent as Director of the Rhodes University Law Clinic. At the Law Clinic he developed the Clinical Legal Education Program to become an integral part of the LLB degree, and to a point at which it has about 20 staff operating from two branch offices in Grahamstown and Queenstown, and an outreach program to some 40 paralegal advice offices and their communities throughout the Eastern Cape Province. From January 2009 until June 2014 he was Dean of the Faculty of Law. His fields of research interest include practical skills (e.g. trial advocacy, negotiation and mediation), legal education and consumer law. Prof Campbell has been seconded by the Faculty to the Clinic where he continues to act as the Director of that part of the Faculty.
