Short Bio: Lutforahman Saeed Date of Birth: 07 / 07 / 1969 Place of Birth: Kabul/ Afghanistan Nationality: Afghan Lutforahman Saeed is Assistant Professor of Islamic Law at Sharia (Islamic Law) faculty at Kabul University (KU). He graduated from KU Sharia Faculty in 1986 and got his LLM in Asian Comparative Law from University of Washington (UW) in 2009-2010. Currently he is working on his PhD on the topic of The Role of Sharia in the Afghan Courts Decision Making in Criminal Cases at Erlangen University-Nuremberg/ Germany. Mr. Saeed also accomplished several programs such as Legal Clinical Education Program, Professional Mediation Skills at UW law school. He has started Legal clinical program for the first time at Kabul University in 2010. Mr. Saeed is one of the editors of Journal of Afghan Legal Studies (JALS). He has joined and had presentations at several events in the national and international levels. He is one of the founder of the Afghan Constitutional Study Institution. He has some publications in local languages. Mr. Saeed can speak Dari, Pashto, and English and fairly understand Arabic.
