Short Bio: Susan McGraugh supervises the Criminal Defense Clinic at Saint Louis University School of Law. This clinic uses a combination of legal and social work strategies to represent persons whose serious mental illness has caused them to interact with the criminal justice system. A co-author of the Community Competency Model, Susan seeks to provide holistic representation for her clients outside of confinement in an institutional setting. She is a 1988 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis School of Law and a 1985 graduate of Drake University. Susan also has experience training criminal defense lawyers in China and the Republic of Georgia.
