Short Bio : Arturo Carrillo is Professor of Law and Director of the International Human Rights Clinic at The George Washington University Law School. Before joining GWU in 2003, he was acting director of the Human Rights Clinic at Columbia Law School. Prior to teaching, he worked for the United Nations in El Salvador and in his native Colombia as a human rights lawyer. In his clinical law practice, Professor Carrillo litigates cases before U.S. courts and regional human rights tribunals.
