Short Bio: Professor Lisa Martin is a Co-Director of the Families and the Law Clinic at the Columbus School of Law, the Catholic University of America. Since 2007 she has taught a weekly seminar and supervised students representing people who have experienced domestic violence in emergency protection order, family law, and immigration cases and undertaking community education and systemic advocacy projects. She presents and writes about clinical legal education, domestic violence, the relationships between parents, children, and the state, and access to justice. Before coming to CUA, she taught International Rights of Women as an adjunct professor at George Washington University’s law school, co-managed the Teen Dating Violence Program at Women Empowered Against Violence (WEAVE), and was an associate at Arent Fox PLLC.
