Short Bio : Philip Genty joined the Columbia Law School faculty in 1989. He teaches professional responsibility and the Prisoners and Families Clinic, and he directs the first-year legal writing/Moot Court program. His research interests are in clinical education, prisoners’ rights, legal ethics, and family law. He has taught and consulted on clinical legal education and legal ethics in Central and Eastern Europe and Israel. He received the 2008 Willis L.M.Reese Prize for Excellence in Teaching.
