Short Bio: Richard Boswell is Professor of Law & Associate Dean for Global Programs at the University of California, Hastings, San Francisco, California, USA. He has been a clinical teacher since 1980 when he founded the Immigration Clinic at the George Washington University Law School. He has been on the faculty at UC Hastings since 1990. He has been active in the clinical movement in the United States serving as the second President of the Clinical Legal Education Association and co-editor in chief of the Clinical Law Review. He has worked on issues involving the rights of immigrants and is the author of numerous books and articles in the field. Since August of this year he has been responsible for administering the law school’s 16 international exchange programs as well as its LL.M. program. Currently he is working on comparative immigration research project exploring issues involving the rights of immigrants in multiple and different legal systems.
