Short Bio:
Jane Murphy teaches Family Law and mediation classes, both clinical and non-clinical. As a former Director of Clinical Education and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the University of Baltimore School of Law, she has supported and designed a number of the law school’s clinical offerings. She has co-authored a family mediation textbook and written extensively, in two books and several law review articles, about ADR and social justice. She has advocated through litigation, legislative work and service on a variety of task forces in Maryland to increase access to the courts for the poor. Over the last decade, she has worked with law schools in China and several European countries to develop clinical programs, particularly those that address the needs of poor families and children.
