Title of Presentation : The development of China Legal Clinical Education and the Function of CCCLE

Short Abstract : IN September 2000 in China, a few law schools of univreisty opened clinical legal education courses, as the development of Chinese clinical education, so far,there are 142 pilot law school members. During these years, China Legal Clinical Education has been developing rapidly, and all the achievements cannot happen without the support of CCCLE. CCCLE organized pilot schools to improve clinical education courses, to provide chances for pilot schools to communicate internationally and domestically, to edit and publish relative books, and to train teachers and give important suggestions. Though there are some difficulties hindering the development that we cannot ignore, for example, the funds problem, the full-time teachers insufficiency, etc, clinical education has been warmly welcomed by both teachers and students, and students get a lot practice experience through this special teaching method. Clinical education has become the bridge connecting legal education and practice skills.
