Short Abstract: An examination of the role that justice education can play in helping people to influence development within their community thereby promoting sustainable development.  Drawing on a case study within the United Kingdom, the paper will explore the benefits for students, the community and society on a wider scale. It will also consider the challenges that are faced by law clinics in undertaking planning work in the UK.  It will also consider the wider implications of planning policy in the UK, particularly the impact on the environment.
