Short Abstract : The session will deal with the global mapping of research and curricula for paralegal education and will cover topics such as: What is meant by a paralegal? What do paralegals do? What sort of training do paralegals need? What kind of curriculum should be developed for paralegals? What kind of materials do paralegals need? Presentations will be made based on experiences in India, South Africa, Malawi and the Open Society Justice Institute will be shared including a model paralegal curriculum and a manual on how to establish a paralegal programme.
